Briefs: Google names new board member
Google said Tuesday a former director of Shopping.com will join its board of directors.
The Internet search engine said Ann Mather will also be serving as chairwoman for Google's audit committee.
Mather was Shopping.com's director until the company was bought out by online auction house eBay earlier this year. She was also chief financial officer for Pixar from 1999 to 2004. She has also been director on the board of the Central European Media Enterprises group since last year.
