CarMax offers vehicle histories

Retailer of used cars CarMax Inc. and Experian Automotive announced Monday that vehicle histories will be made available online on all CarMax's used cars.

Consumers will have access to car histories thanks to Experian's AutoCheck, which will allow customers browsing CarMax.com or shopping at any CarMax superstore to review the latest online history report at no cost.

"Consumers need peace of mind when purchasing a used vehicle, and they deserve the most up-to-date vehicle history information available," said Scott Waldron, president of Experian's automotive division. "AutoCheck's vehicle history reports bring an additional dimension of worry-free ownership, and we are pleased to partner with CarMax to help their customers make educated and safe decisions when purchasing a used vehicle."

"We take pride in providing our customers high quality vehicles," added CarMax Chief Executive Officer Austin Ligon. "Providing free information from AutoCheck's vehicle history reports is another way we are able to assure customers of the quality of CarMax vehicles."
