In Brief: Keeping tabs on kids via cell phone
A cell-phone service will allow families to keep better track of their children.
Irvine, Calif.-based CATS Communication's CATTRAX technology will allow mobile phones to be tracked through a GPS service and alert parents of when children enter into a sexual-predator zone.
The software can be downloaded onto a cell phone and be accessed on a computer so that parents can see where their child is in the neighborhood, how fast they are traveling and their approximate street address.
The service costs about $20 per month.
