In Brief: Lucent wins Telefonica network deal
Lucent Technologies will help Spain's Telefonica improve the performance of its network traffic.
Specifically, Lucent will offer its VitalSuite application performance management software to maximize the availability of Telefonica's application servers in WiFi, LAN and other networks. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
"We chose Lucent's VitalSuite Application Performance Management software to significantly increase our overall network and application performance," said Olegario M茅ndez, corporate network operations manager at Telefonica de Espana.
