Some scientists have an important, if morbid, job: They study the smell of decomposing human bodies.
By understanding the chemical makeup of human cadaver smell, as opposed to the smell of other decomposing animals, forensic scientists could improve the training of cadaver dogs and corpse recovery efforts.
